Royal Castle of Amboise

The Château d’Amboise, located in the Loire Valley in France, is an emblematic historical monument of the Renaissance. Rebuilt during the reigns of Charles VIII and Francis I, it welcomed many kings of France. The famous artist Leonardo da Vinci spent the last years of his life here and is buried in the castle’s Saint-Hubert chapel.

The Château d’Amboise is distinguished by its terraces offering panoramic views of the Loire, its French gardens and its sumptuous royal apartments. Today it is a major tourist site, celebrated for its architecture and rich history.
